ARTISTIC CONSULTATION
This is the final step in our three step process. We break it down into two parts.
Part 1:
A week or so after your photography session you and Jennifer will have a 30-minute Zoom meeting. During this time you two will cull your images together. This gives you a chance to see your photos right away and start thinking about the prints you may want. This also helps Jennifer get a better sense of what you do and don’t like.
Part 2:
Two to three weeks after your photography session, Jennifer and you will have a private 1.5-hour Zoom consultation.
Before the second part of your Artistic Consultation, we will send you a link to a gallery of your images so you can choose your final favorites in preparation for this call.
In order to narrow down your favorites, we ask that you look at the images three times.
First, look at them quickly starting with the main folder and add everything you like to your own favorites folder. The second time go through your favorites folder and eliminate images that no longer speak to you. The third time is when you slowly go through the images and see if you miss anything and want to re-add it back or want to cull further.
You and Jennifer will look over these digital favorites together.
This is your order session and the opportunity for you to get input and suggestions from Jennifer about pairings, cropping, enhancing, framing and albums. Please think about where you might like to display your prints and be sure to ask Jennifer for her assistance with sizing. Jennifer is known for helping her clients create photo walls and also offers handmade albums, photo lockets and custom printing and framing. Don’t forget about gifts for the grandparents and the nanny!
I love this part of the process! I love my clients and truly enjoy working with them through the entire process of immortalizing special times in their lives. I think these meetings with clients are key to helping them understand what I, the artist, see in the images, and what my vision is for the final photo when it hangs on their wall.
I believe looking at and choosing your images with the person who created them, can save you hours of frustration because if you tried to do it yourself, you might struggle to pick the best. Personal photographs are so special. Often these are the photos that we look at when times are tough, and they help us remember the beauty and love we have for each other. It is my belief that if we don't hang photos on our wall, we will forget about them and the special moments they capture. I look forward to learning your story and helping you immortalize it to enjoy for years to come. Photographs are one of the best ways we have to hold onto our memories and in the end, they are the things we want to hold onto the most.
